Eco-friendly coatings products set for launch in Nuremberg
”We will present our new product, Curalite® 2300, which is a niche powder resin designed for gloss control and low temperature curing,” reveals Global Market Development Manager Bo Häggman.
The new products for waterborne coatings will feature Dimethylolbutanoic Acid (DMBA) and new applications for BEPD. In addition, our new polycarbonate diol, Oxymer® M112, for waterborne coatings will be presented at the Nuremberg Congress, which coincides with the ECS.
For solvent borne coatings, we will launch the new Robrac™ range of low-cost polyester polyols as well as Glycerin produced with breakthrough process technology.
“We also plan to present new methods for producing high solids alkyds with Di-Pentaerythritol (Di-Penta),” Häggman explains, “and we will present the use of Boltorn® W3000 for water-reducible alkyd paints, which will allow our customers to lower the VOC of paint formulations and potentially lower the cost of the formulated paints.”
“Our new green products and applications will be elemental in helping solidify our current strong position on the market as a reliable raw materials supplier for resins and coatings formulators,” Häggman adds.
These new environmentally friendly coatings solutions are certain to give formulators the competitive edge they need to best meet the demands of the future for high performance and minimized environmental impact.
