Withdrawal of Force Majeure for Perstorp’s caprolactones
On Saturday, April 19th 2011, Perstorp was forced to temporarily shut down its production of Capa™ caprolactone monomer and polycaprolactone polymers and to declare Force Majeure. Production and maintenance staff worked strenuously during the Easter holiday period to resolve all problems and to restart the plant, which took place on April 27th 2011. The plant is now operating steadily and producing product of high quality. I am therefore pleased to announce our withdrawal of the Force Majeure with immediate effect.
All confirmed orders affected by the outage have now been rescheduled and communication of new delivery dates is in progress. Perstorp is now working hard to confirm deliveries of orders that were received during the Force Majeure, and expect this work to be completed shortly. This will be communicated via the Customer Service representatives. As indicated previously, the demand for Perstorp’s Capa™ product range is currently very strong and lead-times are extended. This situation is likely to continue until the capacity expansion is finalized during the summer.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this Force Majeure may have caused your company. If you have any queries or comments, please direct these to your sales representative.
