Sustainability Report 2016 now released
Perstorp Holding AB (Publ.) parent company for world leading specialty chemicals company Perstorp today releases its Sustainability Report for 2016.
As a specialty chemical company, our environmental, social and economic impacts arise mostly from our raw materials, production facilities and the downstream markets into which our products are applied. Our impacts on the wellbeing and economic prosperity of our own employees, associated partners and the communities in which we operate are also significant factors in measuring our success as a corporate steward. We operate eleven production sites (in nine countries) which are owned in part or in total by Perstorp.
Perstorp has just released our latest Sustainability Report, for the year ending 31 December 2016. Sustainability is a way of conducting our business that will be fundamental to our future success. Our strategy has strong links to markets we aspire to serve and the United Nations Global Compact’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We must push ourselves and our value chains into the circular economy by using more ‘wastes’ as raw materials and fuels, while developing the renewable resources needed to support our present and future platforms. As the only constant is the promise of change, we must continually review our priorities and make certain that we are on the right path”, says Jeff Jones, Environment & Sustainability Manager.
