The impact of gut integrity on broiler economy
Keynote speaker: Ellen van Eerden, researcher of Poultry Nutrition at Schothorst Feed Research, studied Animal Sciences at Wageningen University (the Netherlands) and graduated in Animal Health and Reproduction. After her graduation, she started working on a PhD project at the Adaptation Physiology group of Wageningen University, investigating the relationship between energy metabolism and immunology in young pullets. After finalizing the PhD project she worked as a postdoc at the Veterinary Faculty of Utrecht University. Since December 2009 she has been working at Schothorst Feed Research as a researcher in poultry nutrition, with a special focus on the relationship between nutrition and intestinal health.
