Keeping people at each link in the value chain safe
Product Stewardship is the chemical industry’s shared responsibility for making health, safety and environmental protection an integral part of the life cycle of chemicals. Each part in the value chain is expected to consider safe and sustainable products and to share this information proactively.
At Perstorp, Product Stewardship has internal components and external components. It has to do with information sharing, within Perstorp and to our customers, but really all along the value chain, from our suppliers all the way to the very end user. We collect information about the safe use of our products and we want to share that information with people who are potentially exposed to our products. This is primarily our own employees and the employees of our customers but it can also be end-users. It can be people along the supply chain, truck drivers and people in the communities through which our products travel.
