Nikhil has been working with digital innovation within the Digital Transformation team since two years back. He started his career within Perstorp as part of the ChangeMakers program, a trainee program focused on Digital Transformation. The program lasted for one year, where he was involved in cross functional projects focusing on business intelligence. When the program ended, Nikhil pursued his current role as a Digital Innovation Manager.

Nikhil moved to Sweden from India to pursue his M.Sc. in Sustainable Production Development at KTH, which is when he came to realize that he wanted to pursue a career and make a difference within the two fields of digitalization and sustainability. The regular tasks in his role include planning and executing digital projects that bring value to Perstorp. To give an example, Nikhil describes how he is now evaluating if generative AI is valuable in order to increase internal productivity.

“The best part of my role is that everyday is a window for a new possibility, since my role is about exploring new ideas and also implementing solutions for different functions of the business. I feel like I have something new to learn everyday. The most challenging part is to work within multiple functions in transformation activities, because I have to manage different expectations “, Nikhil shares.

Nikhil highlights that embracing new transformative projects can take time, especially when they are complex to define. However, with clear communication and a shared vision, the teams can together work toward innovation.

“I love how I get to work within various functions and places, because it helps me to build relationships. I also really enjoy that there is a focus on a Care culture, which is rooted in our values. It feels good to work in a company where we take care of each other”, Nikhil concludes.
