Perstorp awarded with Responsible Care® Award from Cefic
Today, we have very proudly received the Responsible Care® Award from Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, for our initiative to produce sanitizers for the Swedish healthcare sector.
The Responsible Care® Awards is a yearly award organized by Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, that recognize outstanding and innovative work among chemical companies and federations, on their journey towards safe chemicals management and performance excellence. The annual awards showcase the industry’s best practices from all over Europe, while demonstrating its commitment to health, safety and the environment – this year, focusing on initiatives dedicated to COVID-19.
Today, Perstorp was announced winner of the category ‘Upholding and Reshaping Production Lines’, for our initiative to convert production at our site in Perstorp, to produce sanitizers for the Swedish health care sector at cost price. With a capacity of more than 2 million liters a month, the initiative aimed to help solve the shortage of disinfectants at a national level, during the initial stages of the COVID-19 outbreak.
