Perstorp Announces Changes in Leadership
Perstorp Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), announced an alignment with the leadership of PCG Specialty Chemicals division (PCG SC).
The establishment of PCG SC has resulted in combining the capabilities of two of its PCG subsidiaries - Perstorp and BRB, with a firm intent to become a global leader in the specialty chemicals industry. This has consequently led to careful selection of leadership from the two subsidiaries to be members of the PCG SC Leadership Team while preserving their existing operational excellence.
Dr. Debbie Chiu, COO of PCG Specialty Chemicals, stated, “Our ambition is clear: to become a global leading specialty chemicals company by solidifying our leadership in our four focus segments ,i.e. Coating Solutions, Engineered Fluids Solutions, Personal Care Solutions, and Advanced Polymer Solutions, while also expanding our intermediates business aggressively. Our growth agenda reflects our strong ambition and commitment to progress.”
As a result of these changes, Ib Jensen will leave his position as the President & CEO of Perstorp Group after successfully overseeing the integration process following the acquisition of Perstorp by PCG in 2022. Gorm Jensen, currently the Executive Vice President for Commercial & Innovation at Perstorp, has been appointed Managing Director of Perstorp Holding AB.

The change will take effect on February 1, 2025.
