Your role as Process Specialist Formaldehyde

The Process Specialist Formaldehyde is Perstorp’s expert within the Formaldehyde technology. As our Process Specialist Formaldehyde you are typically acting in the same way as external technology licensors in investment projects to safeguard/guarantee that the technical function will be delivered. Another responsibility is to steer internal development/improvements of the technology to ensure continued world class performance of Perstorp’s plants. The identified future growth projects will include this area and you will be important to a successful development and growth of the company in the specialist area. As our global organization serves all our manufacturing sites, the position will allow for participation in investments and development projects worldwide.

As the Process Specialist Formaldehyde you are also responsible to keep knowledge up to date for new technologies, lead projects to address tactical and/or strategic issues and to suggest new areas of research for the relevant technical field. As a specialist you will provide coaching, share technical knowledge and lead networks in relevant fields.

Your background

Technology competence

The Process Specialist Formaldehyde is a chemical engineer with 10+ years of experience from process technology whereof at least 5 of them spent working with the Formaldehyde process. You have a successful track record of leading and guiding the process discipline in all project phases - from idea evaluation to start-up of investments. In your previous assignments you have acted as process lead in project execution, using models as EPC, EPCM or in-house. Your scope covers formaldehyde design and even design of critical formaldehyde equipment. You have strong business acumen and ability to do early cost estimates.

Other information

• The position is based in Perstorp, Sweden. Remote working part time is accepted.
• You are expected to travel to Perstorp’s production sites as a vital part of your job
